Fable England is a British lifestyle brand built on a simple mission: to create joy and to care for the world we live in. Over five years as Creative Director, Vanessa led the transformation from a jewellery and gift business into a fully realised lifestyle world, developing a narrative architecture rooted in an infinite love of nature, and the belief that the objects we choose can uplift the human spirit.

Each season is a chapter. Under Vanessa's creative direction, that philosophy evolved into a mythology strategy: feminine archetypes retold through the natural world, each character given her own narrative, colour world, poem, and product universe. Stories designed not just to inspire a collection, but to give every piece a meaning, and every purchase a reason to be treasured.

Creative collaborations with the Natural History Museum, Penguin Publishing, and most recently the V&A extended the brand's reach beyond product, into culture.

Floral Engravings

A celebration of Maria Sibylla Merian (naturalist, entomologist and illustrator), who defied the conventions of the seventeenth century to document the living world with extraordinary precision. Each piece in this capsule is drawn from her engraved botanical plates, discovered in the archive of the Natural History Museum.

Each piece carries the trace of Merian's engraved plates: flora and specimen catalogued in Amsterdam, 1705, three centuries before the capsule was made.
